Account Current with the Estate of William Bruce, 1787 December 12.

This statement was prepared for the widow of William Bruce. The statement is accompanied by a letter from Schuyler explaining the situation. Mrs. Bruce apparently accused Schuyler of mis-managing the estate and reaping undue benefits from it. Schuyler's return letter and this statement detail all transactions with the estate from 1768 to 1787. Schuyler states that there were no improprieties and that if Mrs. Bruce was not content with the statement she could "prosecute me if you please, in what court you please, and as soon as you please." Written at Albany, N.Y.
